  • Yes they were "Patriots" and their record was overhyped and inflated, on purpose. It did however serve to position Raytheon as the almost sole supplier of missiles to the US government.

  • Fact is the military industrial complex is in search of a new enemy. The last one was only good for ten years of seemingly endless war. If one can't be found soon they will see about digging up old adversaries to see if they can antagonize them into playing (read Russia or maybe China).
